Description

Spoilers for ch402 of Naruto. I was unable to upload a preview image for this as a spoiler warning and the DA FAQ hasn't helped. Any advice is appreciated.

I created this because I was pissed. Or rather, I was disappointed. I want to like Sasuke so much but he makes it so hard! Just when I think he'll finally be redeemed... he pulls this. Please tell me I'm not the only one frustrated with him. -_-

It's ok to disagree with me but if you must, do so intelligently. Don't flame.

Naruto (c) Masashi Kishimoto.

I'm so freaking tired of the way Kishi has allowed Sasuke's story arc to completely swallow the whole series. I used to think his turning to the darkside was a brilliant reversal on the old shonen enemy-becomes-rival-becames-friend trope. Now I see it as the moment Kishi cast aside any exstensive developement for Naruto, in terms of abilities or character wise.
Look at the broad array of abilities and tactics Sasuke compared to Naruto who just got stuck with more of the same until Sage Mode and the battle with Nagato (even then Kishi pulled Fox ex Machina in the end). Look at the general drop in the animation quality in the anime between one of Sasuke's battles and one of Naruto's. In reasonable doses he'd be a more interesting character and his fights with Danzo and Killer B are some of most entertaining in Shippuden imo. At the end of the day though I'm tired seeing all the attention Kishi has lavished on Sasuke and the whole of his psychotic clan (who seem to only be able a decent human being or two every generation and have been given a BS "it's not our fault it's genetic" excuse by aforementioned writer) at the expense of so many other plotlines.
